The countdown has begun and we are almost at the start of another school year!
I can’t wait for the year to start and I hope that you are excited, too. We will have a year full of laughs, learning, and a whole lot of FUN!
Our classroom is almost ready and our theme for this year focuses around outer space. Get ready to reach for the stars!
Open house is scheduled for Tuesday, August 30th, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. Please stop by and take a peek at our classroom. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to be there, but I can’t wait to meet you in September!
School starts on Tuesday, September 6th. Please bring with you a snack, backpack (with your name written inside) and lunch or lunch money. You do not need to bring any school supplies, but if you have special pencils or crayons, feel free to bring them.
I am looking forward to a great year! You can check out our website at www.kovachkids.com. See you in September!

A New Year!
Welcome to third grade!
Our class is off to a great start and I am proud of each child's effort and motivation to learn! Your child will be learning so many wonderful and new things this year. With third grade comes a gradual transition to prepare your child for Durban Avenue and fourth grade. All of this information will be discussed at Back to School Night. I know that many of you have crazy schedules with sports and extra-curricular activities, but if you have time, please come to Back to School Night on Tuesday, September 14th starting at 7:30 PM in the Tulsa Trail All-Purpose room.
I look forward to seeing you there!

End of Year Thank You!
Dear Parents,
It is so hard to believe that this year has finally come to a close! This has truly been one of the most memorable years that I have had in my teaching career. Even yesterday, one of the boys asked me if the camera crew was coming back again. We have had so many wonderful experiences this year, and I hope that the boys will remember them for many years to come!
I would like to thank for your support throughout the year. For a child to be successful in school, there needs to be a partnership between the parent and teacher. Your child would not have been successful with the encouragement and guidance you have given to both for them and me! The boys have grown this year in so many ways, and I am proud of everyone’s accomplishments. Please continue to foster their progress throughout the summer!
It has been my privilege to teach the boys this year. They are such a fun group of kids and I have learned so much from them as I hope that they have from me! They are truly special, and I am honored to have been a part of their lives.
Have a wonderful summer! I will look for everyone in September! :)

Updates
First, I would like you to know how VERY proud I am of our class. Not only did every student turn in their dinosaur diorama project today, but they also created some fantastic projects! I hope that you enjoyed working on this project with your child. They are being displayed in Tulsa's showcase and they are also on our website (www.kovachkids.com). Click on the projects link and you will find them!
Also, our podcasts have been updated. Unfortunately, the site that we have been using to house our podcasts is no longer accepting any new uploads. If you click on the podcast link on our website, it will direct you to our most recent podcasts. A link is also provided on that site for you to access our old podcasts. Since our Fridays have been few, we have not had a chance to make new podcasts every week. I hope that you enjoy our newest one on dinosaurs!
